In twitter Matt Cutts says
"Google is releasing a treasure map mode of Google Maps: https://maps.google.com/maps?t=8 "Google is going to add one more feature for the maps known as Treasure Map
This has been observed from the link provided by Cutts. Those strange signs shows where the treasure is.
