Gmail's New Inbox - Control Your Mails With New Categories

Are you confusing in finding category of your mails. If yes, let you stop worry about organizing your mails in Inbox. A new Gamil Feature had introduced to forget all your confusions. Even though many of you had differ your mails by attaching the label, its seems to be some difficult to organize all the mails to be a related folders.

This New Gmail Inbox Feature provide the option to categorize your mails according to your Personal, Social Type, Update/Newsletters, Forums etc.

This feature is on live from today, Let's enjoy the new Gmail Inbox category option. Make your Inbox looks to be different from others.

A new inbuilt feature has been introduced in Gmail. If you categorize your Gmail Inbox in a categorized way, it can be looks like this.

Change your inbox style

You can always switch back if you change your mind, so go ahead and experiment with different styles. Simply switch to other favorite inbox types.

1. Open Gmail.
2. Click the gear icon   in the upper right, then select Settings.
3. Select the Inbox tab.
4. In the “Inbox type” section, select an inbox style in the drop-down menu.
5. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

But, it doesn't give the chance to create your own categories. Inbuilt it has 5 categories. You should use those categories only.

• Personal
• Social
• Promotions
• Updates
• Forums

For a Desktop Users, you can see your inbox as follows. Tabs separated vertically in Inbox. By clicking the tabs you can enter into that category. For example if you click on Promotions, you  can see all the facebook, google, and other third party related promotions in your Inbox.

On Desktop/Laptop

Inbox for an Android mobile phone, iPad and a iPhone can be as below. Here you get the horizontally  separated tabs. You get notifications on the tab, if you get any any messages regarding the group.
