SEO Ranking Factors for Baidu Search Engine

Do you want to point out your business in China!!! Keep these rules in mind...
Baidu is the one major search engine in Chine. Baidu capture more than 60% of market share in China. Even Google can't beat the Baidu that country.

Yaaah!!.. Everybody knows the major rules and algorithms for Google Search Engine. Here are some points which you may had the chance to display your website information on Baidu. This blog post describes some Baidu search engine factors.

SEO Ranking Factors & Meta Tags

Chinese Law:

Address- Your website must contain the china address, which shows that your website belongs to China country

Domain- Baidu prefers for .cn(china), .com(commercial), .net(network) etc. Among these domain types, .cn has first preference.

Hosting- Apart from preference of domains, Baidu also gives importance for sites which are hosted in china. It may improve page load speed.

Content License- Your website get rankings in Baidu,if you get a special license from chineese government to your site. Obtain the license from Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Censor- Chinese government ban some services which may include more Google services. It bans major social networking sites. Baidu will de-index your website, if the words of content in your is blaklisted by Chinese government.

SEO Requirements:

Sub-Domains- Baidu dislikes the websites having sub-domains or having multiple domains. The site must have only 1 domain, and any other sub-domains are not be used. For seperate language, you mustuse another domain. Finally Baidu says don't use any sub-domains.

Speed- Site speed is a major ranking factor consider by Baidu. Site which loads slowly would get less preference while ranking. Baidu also consider the hosting place as a factor.

iFrames- As we know that by using iFrames the search engine gets confused. But here Baidu is unable to read the data in the iFrames. So if you specify important information in iFrames baidu can't spider it.

Robots.txt- Google allows robots.txt file. But baidu doen't like the sites having robots.txt. Any important rules are needed, you must specify them in .htaccess file or in server settings.

Flash & JavaScript- Baidu is unable to crawl both javascript and flash. The important content must specify in HTML only.

Link Building:

Navigation- As Baidu is unable to crawl Javascript, use drop down menu's for navigation purposes. It also gives the preference to footer of a site. So be sure to have some text links in your botttom of the page.

Anchor Text- Baidu consider lot of importance to keywords having anchor text. All the links with in the internal linking must follow the keyword optimized anchor text. While buiding links from external sites also we must optimize the Keyword anchor text.

Link Building- Although Baidu prevented sub-domains, Robots.txt and content like issues,link building has not performed. Yes Baidu didnot had any sategy for considering the inbound links  to our site. It gives the preference based on number of links created. On the other way it is not considering the quality of links... So the sites who had more quality links may also can achieve top rankings on Baidu.

Content:

Header Tags- Along with other search engines, Baidu also consider these header tags for h1 to h6 on webpages.

Duplicate Content- Compare to other search engines Baidu penalizes more if the site has duplicate content. It is mandatory that your site must have unique content. So be sure while developing your site for content issues.

Quality- Since your site has unique content, it would be quality content. To achieve high rankings try to manage the quality content of at least 300 words per page.

Title Tag- A chinese character is equal to 2 English characters. So as Google follow for 70 limited character, Baidu's limit is 35 characters for title tag. Try to manage the title with rich descriptive keywords as you must stuff the keywords with in 35 characters.

Description Tag- Some times meta description is not used by Google and Bing search engines. But Baidu depend on it for ranking the results. The limit for Baidu's meta description tag is of 78 characters.

Keywords- Although this tag is not using by major searh engines, Baidu still consider meta keywords as a factor. In every page meta keyword tag should mentioned and it would be atleast 3 to 5 keywords.

ALT Attribute- This alternate text is common for Baidu and other major search engines. So don't forget to specify your alt tags to crawl your website images.

Blogs- Company blogs must specify on your website page. Frequently update your blog,so that Baidu treats your blog more content rich with internal linking.

Keyword Research- Baidu also has keyword estimator tool, people in china may think different than other countries. So you can find the keywords satistics from http://is.baidu.com/keyword_tool.html

Google+ Launches +Post Action on Display Network Ads

A good news for the consumers and vendors who advertise their service/products through Google Ads. Google+ introduce a new way to monetize its social platform to drive more traffic across the web. With a new way called "+Post" feature to promote in the social hub.

Simply saying that, Google+ had added a new feature to Display Networks Ads with +Post to increase your social presence. The concept is same as like what you used in social networks. Instead of ads showing on Google+ network,they will be shown on Google's Display Network, which drives the users back to their Google+ profile pages.

Google announces in this way...
+Post ads amplify your brand’s content by easily turning Google+ posts into display ads that run across the web. The live, social ad format allows you to go beyond clicks to live conversations with your audience. People can join a Hangout On Air, add a comment, follow your brand or give a +1, right from an ad.
Google used Toyota's testimonial for the following promo video, where you can see Toyota increase its customers through +Post feature on Display Networks.


According to Google, the +Post is same as regular post in Google+, allows users to engage with directly from Ad.
Ads become more relevant with social context. Comments, +1s, and shares from friends can move people to engage with your ad. Social actions on ads and Google+ add up together, showing the full picture of engagement with your content. +Post ads expand in a lightbox to bring full screen social creatives across the web.
The AdAge describe about charges occur when an user "mouse hover on Ad for 2 seconds", which expands on the screen.

Social advertising model supports for what Google been preaching for time. The Zero moment of truth, when a bran delivers what the user needs.

This idea helps to Google+, because normally the users who click on Ad may not go to the company's Google+ page. So in coming days, +Post drive more traffic to Google+ pages through Display Networks also.

+Post Ads are current;y under beta version. I mean for a limited set of Adwords advertisers only the +Post is in use. Let us wait for the complete feature of +Post Ad feature on Google Display Networks.

Anglo Rank- Google Penalized on Another Link Network

Google Targets on Anglo Link NetworkGoogle targets another link network on Anglo Rank's links, It is formally tweeted and announced by Google Web spam head Matt Cutts. The links which buy from Anglo Rank's network comes under this Anglo Rank effect.

Anglo Rank is mainly targets on Paid link service with links reputed from multiple private networks. These private networks sell the links which has "no footprints". Cutts' tweet directly quoted the language from selling features listed on their sales pages.

Days ago, some of the Anglo Rank customers claimed that they had received notifications from Google Webmasters. The notifications saying their sites get penalized.

It is clear that, Google had busted the Anglo Rank link customers. So this incident had became a proof for people to believe the occurrence of Anglo Rank had started. The customer had kept an image showing notification for unnatural links in webmaster tools. The below image has taken from Black Hat World.

Another customer of Anglo Rank claims that, he saw drop in rankings.

In the meanwhile the operator of Anglo Rank, code named "bluematter" is responding to the customers offering for cancellations and redirecting the links.

Its time for Anglo Rank customers to check their webmaster tools if any notifications may received in future by Google Webmasters.

History of Google PR UpdatesPage Rank factor is generally given by the Google on its tool bar. It means that how Google believed your site. it is true that Google gives priority for high PR sites on top results. So all sites owners are performing several tactics to gain the Page Rank from Google.

Generally Google updates page rank status on its tool bar for 3 to 4 times a year. Even though it grasp the changes occur daily, it update at 3 to 4 times in a year.

In giving the Page Rank Google believe in some factors to calculate Page Rank. Which include domain factors, On-Page & Off-page factors and other social media factors.

Previously google calculates its page rank from its tool bar traffic. It calculate only from browsers which are google tool-bar enabled. So at that time, it may easy to gain the page rank. It also consider the data from chrome browser with its toolbar and other factors. Later, it focused on analytics factor like average time spent by user, bounce rate etc.

Next Page Rank Update

Actually the latest page Rank may update on May 29th 2014, But it doesn't happened. So according to sources, Google had a new plan to implement the update in calculating the page rank.

History of Google PR Updates

It comes to an end for all who waiting for Google Page Rank update. Yes, from 6th December the page rank would effect on all sites. I had noticed some sites which gains its PR compare to previous one.
